/Cosmetic Surgery News Articles/ - BEVERLY HILLS, CA, April 19, 2008 - The non-surgical nose job is an exciting new development in aesthetics. A simple, relatively inexpensive procedure that can last as long as two years, the non-surgical nose job uses injectable fillers to even out and smooth the line of the nose in a single office visit.

While this is not the perfect solution for everyone, it is an excellent low cost, minimally invasive option for many people who are bothered by minor imperfections with their profile.

Fillers used in non-surgical nose jobs
The non-surgical nose job can be done with either Restylane or Radiance injectable fillers. The results of a non-surgical nose job will be longer lasting than with other types of procedures, simply because the nose is relatively static, so the filler is not reabsorbed as quickly.

• A non-surgical nose job using Restylane can be expected to last as long as six months following treatment
• A non-surgical nose job using Radiance can be expected to last as long as two years following treatment

The non-surgical nose job procedure
"The non-surgical nose jobs I perform are completed during a simple fifteen-minute office visit," says Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon. "The area to be treated may be numbed with a topical anesthetic or an icepack, after which I will make a series of shallow injections to fill in problem areas, leaving my patients with a smoother, more graceful profile."

What you can expect
While a non-surgical nose job is an excellent option for many patients, it is important to understand it's limits and possibilities.

A non-surgical nose job involves using filler in to smooth out and refine your nose. The injectable filler is used to fill in dips and to smooth out imperfections. While in some cases it may make your nose appear smaller or less obtrusive, it cannot be used to actually make your nose smaller. Some of the most common injectable fillers used in non-surgical nose jobs are Restylane and Radiance.

One other factor, which can be a benefit or a drawback, depending on your perspective, is that the non-surgical nose job is not a permanent change. Results may last from about six months to two years, depending on the extent of changes, the type of filler used in the procedure, and on individual physiological factors. For many people, this gives them an opportunity to try out a change before committing to a permanent surgical solution.
